I will work with a team of experienced engineers to design new features, update existing ones, and review the design and implementation of others.
[PACKAGING TECHNOLOGIST]
A highly successful international Company require a Packaging Technologist responsible to manage/implement assigned packaging projects, from early stage concept development to proof of principle.
Scope / Dimensions of Role
* To act as an expert within specific technologies and keep abreast of significant and relevant technical developments.
* Establishment and maintenance of day to day communication with the R&D formulation teams, Device Designers, Component Suppliers and Supply Packaging teams to deliver assigned projects by meeting agreed success criteria’s, regulatory and supply constraints.
* Maintenance of the balance between packaging and performance robustness and challenging cost targets.
* Development of robust evaluation methodologies leading to sustainable performance claims.
* Management of priorities for themselves between the various assigned projects within timeline constraints of the projects.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities
* To deliver assigned projects.
* To contribute to the composition of development briefs specifically in the preparation of its packaging technical content. Following development brief authorisation to be responsible for the achievement of project objectives.
* To take ideas from the briefs and develop them into bench model / working mock-ups meeting the requirements in the briefs. Show correct functioning / interactions between device and product / formulation. Once mock-ups are approved by Marketing, to propose shape / aesthetics, basic componentry, potential suppliers, design of pilot mould in collaboration with Eng/Tech and/or Category R&D Teams. To test the device and prove it is working correctly according to requested functionality.
* This involves liaising with appropriate Eng/Tech contacts, R&D Formulation teams, Device Designers (design agency or component supplier with design capabilities), Supply Packaging, Process Development, Procurement personnel to enable a satisfactory handover to Category R&D.
* To develop a broad commercial knowledge and close “team” working relationships with the commercial functions of the business to gain an understanding of their needs.
* To ensure that all assigned development activity conforms to legislative, health & safety and environmental requirements.
* To understand development activities undertaken by competitors and advise the category teams accordingly.

どうもイメージがうまく湧かないが、要はパッケージデザインに絡んだ商品図面の閲覧と、そのマーケティングあたりを攻めてくんだな。そんでもってそれには多方面とのcommunicationが大切だと言いたいのだな。
（俺には難しい英語が多くて誤訳してたら恥ずかしいw）
こうみるとBird氏も社会人だな。
ってかすごい勢いでBird氏自身が成長していきそうだな。
未だ迷走している自分がちょっと恥ずかしス。

どうやって自分でつなげていけるかだよね、（俺の場合単なる自分へのこじつけもあるけどそれでもいいとおもってる）
